Just because Glenfarclas is best known for its sherried single malt whisky doesn't mean that there is anything wrong with its bourbon cask aged malts! Take, for example, this 37-year-old Family Casks bottling from 2017, which scores very well! (44.5%)
Another bottling from the Mac Talla range, the Morrison family's special Islay series. It is a 15 year old single malt whisky matured in bourbon and sherry casks. It is unknown from which Islay distillery it comes, but maybe it is Caol Ila. Or Laphroaig..
