There was once an Adelphi Distillery in Glasgow. It closed in 1932. A descendant of the Adelphi owners revived the name Adelphi in 1993 as a whisky bottler. The brand quickly became known for the quality of its bottlings. In 2007, the idea arose at Adelphi to build their own distillery again, and in 2014 the time had come: the first spirit flows from the boilers of the Ardnamurchan Distillery, located in the Western Highlands, followed in 2020 by the first single malt whiskies.
