Chivas Regal's roots lie in 19th century Aberdeen. There, James Chivas had some old whiskies in the basement of his grocery store that he started experimenting with. The blends he made with it were well received by his customers. So well that he made blending his main activity. The Chivas Brothers company was born as a whisky blender. In 1909, the company created a 25-year-old blend, the first luxury blended whisky and the whisky with which Chivas entered the world stage.
At the heart of every Chivas blend is the single malt whisky from Scotland's oldest working distillery, Strathisla.
