What started as a beer brewery in Lossie, Speyside, was converted into the Glen Moray single malt whisky distillery in 1897. It closed again in 1910, but then became active again in 1923. In addition to the production for blended whiskies, Glen Moray also releases its own bottlings: standard bottlings and special editions. At reasonable prices, according to the philosophy of Glen Moray. As a result, the distillery has never built up larger stocks of old single malt casks and there have never been many truly old Glen Moray whiskies on the market.
