In the Dutch-Frisian town of Bolsward we find Us Heit Distillery where the single malt whisky from the Frysk Hynder brand is produced. The malt for this whisky is made in their own malt house.
The spirit for Frysk Hynder is aged for 3 or 5 years in wine, cognac, port or sherry casks before it is bottled in bottles with the characteristic cap with a horse's head.
