MacNair's is the name under which The Glenallachie Distillery markets peat blended malt whiskies. The master blender of Glenallachie selects various Islay and Speyside single malts for the different blends, always starting from their own Glenallachie malt. The subsequently blended malts are then matured in the warehouses of the distillery, to be bottled as Lum Reek Peated Blended Malt. The recipe for the Lum Reek blend was devised in the 19th century by one Harvey MacNair. Hence te name.
