The first Annandale Distillery was founded in 1830 near Dumfries in the Scottish Lowlands. It closed in 1924. But in 2007, David Thomson and Teresa Church bought the Annandale estate, renovated the old buildings, and reconstructed the distillery. They finished this in 2014, and the first whisky was released in 2017. Annandale produces both peated and unpeated single malt whisky.
