The first, small, Teerenpeli distillery was founded in 2002 in a restaurant in the Finnish town of Lahti. In 2015, just outside Lahti, the larger Teerenpeli Distillery, which is also a brewery, was opened. They distill with traditional Scottish pot stills. The different types of maturation casks come directly from Scotland, the US, Spain and Portugal.
