The Strathearn Distillery, on the outskirts of Perth in the Highlands, was founded in 2013. It is a small, traditional distillery that distils its whisky from an old type of barley malt that produces less alcohol but more flavour than modern malts. In 2019, the distillery was taken over by bottler and blender Douglas Laing, fulfilling a long-cherished wish of the Laing family.
