3006 Whisky is a small, independent bottler from the Netherlands. The company has its own stock in Scotland. Founder Jop Boer, whose passion for whisky goes deep, has created the unique, timeless bottle design. Jop started 3006 Whisky in 2017 and released his first bottle in the spring of that year.
Jop Boer wants to release 5 to 10 bottlings per year. In addition, Jop has plans for beer matured in whisky casks. That 3006 in the name stands for Jop's birthday: June 30th.
Jop is also involved in the Dutch Bossche Stokers distillery, founded in 2017, which produces the Hemel & Hellevuur single malt whisky.
The Balmenach distillery, dating from the early 19th century, has hardly released any bottlings itself. We therefore have to rely on bottlings like this one to be able to taste the typical Speysider with its own style. 7 years old and bourbon aged. 61.4%
Humbly working for the blends and therefore often overlooked, the Glen Elgin Distillery. Still, it's worth taking a look at their single malt whisky. With this bottling, for example: matured for 11 years in a refill bourbon barrel and bottled at 53.4%.
This Hemel & Hellevuur (Heaven & Hellfire) Dutch single malt whisky is bottled by 3006 Whisky. The whisky from the young Brabant distillery Bossche Stokers matured for 5 years in an Oloroso octave cask, and is bottled at a cask strength of 54.7%.
This Hemel & Hellevuur Dutch single malt whisky was also bottled by 3006 Whisky. The whisky from the young Brabant Bossche Stokers aged for 4 years in a 2nd fill Palo-Cortado octave cask, which is clearly visible from the colour and was bottled at 60.9%.
