3006 Whisky is a small, independent bottler from the Netherlands. The company has its own stock in Scotland. Founder Jop Boer, whose passion for whisky goes deep, has created the unique, timeless bottle design. Jop started 3006 Whisky in 2017 and released his first bottle in spring 2017.
With 3006 Whisky Jop plans to release between 5 and 10 casks per year. That is not all, currently there are plans for whisky barrel aged beer as well. Jop is on a mission with his whisky plans and we will be watching him closely.
Jop Boer, the man behind Dutch bottler 3006 Whisky, takes pride in bottling good single malt and single grain whiskies for a reasonable price. This turn is a bottling of a grain whisky: a 27-year-old Cameronbridge at a cask strength of 52.6%.
For a price that fits very well with December's gift month, the Dutch bottler 3006W released this Glen Moray single malt whisky. This Speyside single malt matured for 11 years on a bourbon barrel. From that barrel came 160 bottles at cask strength (58.5%)
This is the first blended malt whisky from the Dutch bottler 3006 Whisky. The earlier single malt bottlings of 3006 Whisky make us curious about his qualities as a whisky blender. We do not know which single malts are involved. At 54.4%.
