Brachadair is a small family business with 'Belgian roots ... but Gaelic at heart'. Founded by Patrick Vanderlinden in 2012, Brachadair has released around twenty well-regarded bottlings, mostly single malts, most Scotch whiskies. But the young bottler is certainly also looking at other areas, also for future bottlings. Indulge in their enthusiasm for whisky!
'Belgian roots… but Gaelic at heart', is how bottler Brachadair sees itself. And this is a bottling of a single malt whisky from the definitely Gaelic and innovative BenRiach Distillery. The malt is 6 years old and is finished on a small sherry cask. 58.2
The second Invergordon bottling from bottler Brachadair (‘Belgian roots…but Gaelic at heart’). This Invergordon single grain whisky is 33 years old. It matured all this time in a bourbon cask, a barrel. The grain was bottled in 193 bottles at 55.6%.
This 10-year-old Macduff single malt whisky matured on a sherry cask. That shows in notes like chocolate and cinnamon. But this Macduff is mainly characterized by intense notes of apple and other fruit. Full and creamy in the mouth: dangerously drinkable!
More and more distilleries and bottlers don't beat around the bush when they release a young single malt whisky. And why not! This Silver Anniversary Edition from Brachadair is a 5 year old Tullibardine matured in a Koval bourbon cask. (65.7%!)
