Chorlton Whisky is an independent bottler from Manchester. Founded by David Bennett in 2016, Chorlton's bottlings receive average high ratings. It usually concerns Scotch whisky, but sometimes Chorlton also bottles Swedish whisky, for example. All bottlings are at cask strength.
The bottles from this bottler also stand out with their colourful labels. Great single malts to share with friends.
The people in the medieval label illustration of this Chorlton bottling may well be threshing barley. In any case, this Bruichladdich single malt whisky is distilled from barley. It matured for 14 years in a select bourbon cask and is bottled at 57.9%.
For a very reasonable price, this bottling offers you a 16-year-old single malt whisky at cask strength from the Speyside and a beautiful label illustration as an extra. It is a Glen Moray bottled in 2024 by Chorlton Whisky at a strength of 52.2% ABV.
The label of this bottle shows two medieval ladies gardening. The bottle contains a 14-year-old, bourbon-matured Glenburgie single malt whisky. A true Speysider with many different fruit notes, but also notes like beer, honey, mint and vanilla. (53.9%)
People who have already tasted this Glentauchers describe it as a rich, delicate, and elegant dram. The single malt whisky was bottled in 2023 by Chorlton Whisky after maturing for at least 26 years in a bourbon cask. (bottled at 51.5% cask strength)
Some have suggested it could be Ben Nevis, others mention Ardmore, but whichever Highland distillery this single malt whisky is from, it's certainly worth a look! The malt has been matured for 18 years in a refill bourbon cask and is bottled at 54.0% ABV.
Speyside Distillery Mannochmore shares some production facilities with nearby Glenlossie but has a character of its own. This 16-year-old bottling of the single malt whisky, that matured in a first-fill Oloroso cask certainly shows that. (54.7%)
