Chorlton Whisky is an independent bottler from Manchester. Founded by David Bennett in 2016, Chorlton's bottlings receive average high ratings. It usually concerns Scotch whisky, but sometimes Chorlton also bottles Swedish whisky, for example. All bottlings are at cask strength.
The bottles from this bottler also stand out with their colourful labels. Great single malts to share with friends.
Behind the beautiful medieval picture on the label is a 14-year-old Glentauchers single malt whisky. The Speysider matured in a refill sherry cask. Marzipan, plum and peach, honey, stone fruit, sultanas, brownies and malty notes. Bottled at 61.1% ABV.
In their La Nouvelle Vague series, bottler Chorlton Whisky also released this single malt whisky distilled on the Orkneys. We can assume that this is a Highland Park, and then one of 19 years old, aged in a bourbon cask and bottled at 54.3% cask strength.
The Tullibardine Distillery in the Highlands opened in 1949 but it has only been running at full capacity since 2008. This edition of Chorlton Whisky was vatted well before that in a bourbon hogshead. In 2022, 29 years later, the malt was bottled. (47.5%)
