A bottling under the Cooper's Choice brand from 2007. So, quite an old bottle. It is a Macallan single malt whisky that matured for 13 years and was bottled at 46% ABV. If you want to try a vintage 1993 Macallan, this is your chance!
With this 'As We Get It' bottler Ian MacLeod indicates that this single malt whisky went straight from the cask into the bottle, without adding any colouring or water. Which Islay single malt it concerns and its age remain unmentioned. Bottled at 61%.
According to some, this Smokehead Islay single malt whisky is young Caol Ila finished in Ardbeg casks. Perhaps. In any case, this is a beautiful, uncomplicated and pleasantly drinkable dram for the smoky whisky lover. At 43%.
Smokehead is the brand under which Ian Macleod bottles anonymous, peated Islay single malt whisky. The type of cask on which the whisky matured can differ, or the alcohol percentage. But never before has a Smokehead finished on tequila casks appeared.
Smokehead is a single malt whisky brand from bottler Ian Macleod. Just like with the earlier Smokehead bottlings, this is an anonymous peated islay whisky. And the age of this bottling is also unknown. The ABV content is a solid 58%.
With this bottle you get a peated Islay single malt whisky for a reasonable price. Bottler The Vintage Malt Whisky Company does not mention from which distillery this whisky comes. Can you find out?
Ian Macleod bottled this Highland single malt whisky at cask strength, so 'As we get it'. And cask strength here is a very solid 66.8%! We don't know which Highlander it is and how old it is, but it matured in sherry casks and was bottled in 2018.
This rum-finished Smokehead isn't all about peat and smoke. The Islay single malt whisky bottled by Ian Macleod has depth and is complex. The rum finish provides fruity and vibrant notes. All in all a very drinkable and original combination. At 46%.
