According to some, this Smokehead Islay single malt whisky is young Caol Ila finished in Ardbeg casks. Perhaps. In any case, this is a beautiful, uncomplicated and pleasantly drinkable dram for the smoky whisky lover. At 43%.
This rum-finished Smokehead isn't all about peat and smoke. The Islay single malt whisky bottled by Ian Macleod has depth and is complex. The rum finish provides fruity and vibrant notes. All in all a very drinkable and original combination. At 46%.
Fruity & Fierce, Spicy & Smooth' is how bottler Ian Macleod characterizes this Smokehead Blast. It is, as always, a peated Islay single malt whisky, but this one is finished in oloroso sherry casks. A full, creamy, complex, and quite smoky dram. (48%)

The Springbank Distillery still produces whisky from barley to bottling, which is why the single malt whisky is appreciated by many. In 2016, Springbank released this 21-year-old, very high-scoring, sherried single-cask bottling. It is bottled at 47.5%.
This Left-Field single malt whisky from Australian Starward is also made according to their own philosophy: focus on the taste and follow your intuition. And so this edition matured in a red wine cask of French oak. Tropical fruit, apple, berries. (40%)

Belgian Distillery De Molenberg, known for its Gouden Carolus whisky bottlings, released this Esmeralda in 2019 to celebrate its sixth anniversary. The single malt whisky matured in ex-bourbon and Madeira casks and was bottled at 46% ABV.
Established in 2013, the artisanal Strathearn Distillery distils its single malt whisky from an old barley variety that yields less alcohol but more flavour. This Batch No.02 matured in bourbon, sherry and virgin oak casks. You have to taste it! (50%)
