Rare, that's how you can describe Robert Scott's bottlings, which he has released so far under the name Scott’s Selection. Scott, who worked as a master blender at Speyside Distillers in Glasgow, over the years gathered interesting casks from all over Scotland. And then he waited quietly until the moment he thought the whisky had matured optimally in a cask before such a single malt could be bottled.
Since Scott retired, still several rare old Scott's Selection bottlings have come onto the market.
Scott's Selection has scored highly with its bottlings over the years. An old-fashioned bottler with no experiments with maturation or finishing in unusual casks. This 16-year-old Aberlour single malt whisky is an excellent example of this. (51.1%)
You don't see them that often anymore, bottlings from Scott’s Selection. But here we have a Bruichladdich malt whisky from 1990 in the well-known 750 ml bottle. For a price significantly lower than the current market value! A bottle for the collector!
