Behind the Whisky-Doris brand is the German Doris Debbeler. In Falkensee, Germany, she has a whisky shop with mainly products from independent bottlers. But with her business, she also bottles whisky herself. The bottlings of Whisky-Doris stand out not only because they are often surprising and of high quality but also because of the labels, such as the pin-up labels of the Nose Art series. Till now, around two hundred bottlings have appeared.
In honour of Versandhandel Debbeler's 20th anniversary, the German bottler Whisky-Doris is releasing several festive bottlings, and this is one of them. It is a well-sherried Glentauchers single malt whisky. 240 bottles at 54.2% ABV came out of the cask.
The German Whisky-Doris has been releasing whisky bottlings for 20 years. This is one of the bottles to celebrate this happy occasion. A 7-year-old, bourbon-aged single malt whisky from Islay. From which distillery remains a secret. (150 bottles at 52.6%)
Also with this Whisky-Doris bottling, we are not only talking about the label, if we call this a special edition. This is in fact a 25 year old Arran single malt whisky. Matured in a bourbon a hogshead and bottled at 51% cask strength in 235 bottles.
Whisky-Doris is now releasing this Miltonduff single malt whisky in the well-known, beautifully labeled Art Nouveau bottling series. The Speyside malt matured for 15 years in a refill cask and was then bottled in 279 bottles at a cask strength of 51.9%.
Bottled in 2021 by Whisky-Doris, with another beautiful Art Nouveau label for which the bottler is known. And they are also known for the good quality of the whisky. This is a 12 year old Glenallachie single malt whisky, matured in a sherry cask. (53.9%)
Bottler Whisky-Doris comes here with an interesting Glen Keith bottling. Interesting also as the Speyside Distillery was closed from 1999 to 2013. This Glen Keith single malt-whisky went in the bourbon cask in 1997 and was bottled at 50.3% 23 years later.
This is a dram that you have to give the time to come to life. But then you will discover that with this Speyside single malt whisky you have a rich, balanced and characterful malt on the table. 23 years old, bottled at cask strength by Whisky-Doris.
