Whisky-Fässle is a German online liquor shop with, as the name suggests, the focus on whisky. Within that whisky sector the emphasis is on independent bottlers. And then the company also releases its own bottlings. Under the Whisky-Fässle label. In addition to being all single cask and at cask strength, and of high quality, they are also known for their labels: on many of the labels there are ducks. Whisky-Fässle, under owner Jens Unterweger, has already realized more than 100 bottlings, including many special ones.
With this bottling Whiskey-Fässle releases an exemplary Port Charlotte single malt whisky. The smoky malt distilled by Bruichladdich matured on a bourbon cask for 10 years. Besides being smoky, this dram is also powerful at 62.7%. Not for wimps!
The German company Whisky-Fässle comes with a 24-year-old, very nice 'spirit-driven' Glen Keith. The fruitiness of this Speyside whisky is well balanced with the wood tones of the bourbon barrel, which also brings a hint of charcoal. At 47.6%.
Whisky-Fässle is known for selecting quality casks. Jens the founder of Whisky-Fässle has a broad interest and occasionally bottles a rum or in this case a fine blend. This is stunning quality. These are sherryed malts, the youngest being 17 years old.
Whisky-Fässle from Germany bottled this 10-year-old Caol Ila single malt whisky for the Swedish market, but fortunately some bottles have ended up with us. This way the Caol Ila enthusiast has even more choice with us! (53.6%)
The label of this blended malt whiskey bottling from Whiskey-Fässle tells us nothing about which single malt whiskies are in it. But it is clear that we are dealing here with a blended malt of quality. Aged 24 years in sherry casks. 54.3%
'Delicate, subtle,' is said of this Irish single malt whiskey from Whisky-Fässle. We do not know which distillery produced the contents of this bottling, but that the whiskey is appreciated is obvious when you see the good score in the Whiskybase.
That makes one curious: a single malt whisky from an unnamed Speyside distillery, that aged for 6 years in a sherry cask, so it is quite young, bottled at a cask strength that you only expect with very old single malts. You want to know more about that!
The German bottler Whiskey-Fässle previously released Ledaig single malt whisky bottlings that scored very well. We are therefore very curious about this new bottling that aged 10 years in bourbon cask. This Ledaig too is bottled at cask strength (52.7%).
