The Clonakilty Distillery was founded in 2016 in Clonakilty, County of Cork, Ireland. The family-owned company located on the coast focuses on the production of high-quality single pot-still Irish whiskey. In addition, Clonakilty also makes grain whisky and gin. The warehouse is also located by the sea. The distillery also has a restaurant.
This Clonakilty Port Cask Finish is a single-cask bottling specially for the Dutch market. The Irish single-pot still whisky from the Scully family farm distillery has been finished in a port cask and bottled in 914 bottles at 53.0%.
This is a true Irish whisky (or 'whiskey' as they write it there). This Clonakilty is distilled from unmalted barley from the family farm. Triple distilled in copper pot stills and matured in bourbon, oloroso, and amontillado casks. (46% ABV)
