The fingers of two hands are more than enough to count the number of Dailuaine's own distillery bottlings. The brand is therefore not very well known, although it is one of the larger single malt whisky distilleries in the Speyside. Dailuaine was built in 1852, and rebuilt in the 1880s. The distillery was the first to have 'pagodas' or cupola ventilators that are now archetypal for 'a Scottish whisky distillery'.
Another special bottling from San Francisco-based D&M Wines and Liquors for their single malt whisky Aficionados’ Club, now in our shop! A 28-year-old Dailuaine, vintage 1976. A collector's item, that may be clear!
Speyside distillery Dailuaine is not very well known because they do not release many bottles themselves. Bottlers such as Signatory Vintage release this single malt whisky with some regularity. This is a 22-year-old edition matured in bourbon casks. 46.1
This 21 years old Dailuaine single malt whisky is bottled by Signatory Vintage in the Vintage Collection series. This Speysider matured in bourbon barrels and is bottled at 43%. No colorant added. A whisky that is worth further investigation!
The Dailuaine Distillery was the first in 1852 to feature those now archetypal pagoda-like roof fans. A nice bottle to get to know more about Dailuaine single malt whisky is this bottling by The Single Cask. 12 years old and bottled at 58.7% cask strength
Because the distillery itself has hardly released any bottlings, Dailuaine single malt whisky is not well known. For this Speysider you are mainly dependent on independent bottling. Like this 12-year-old bottling from Van Wees. Matured on bourbon. 46%
This single malt whisky has been bottled by Murray McDavid in their Mystery Malt series. We found out that it is a Dailuaine! This Speysider matured for 20 years on a refill and then on a first fill bourbon barrel. Curious about the result?
