The Belgian Duvel Moortgat Brewery is famous for the beers brewed there for a century and a half. However, it is less known that the Flemish brewery occasionally distills beer into new make spirit.
The Duvel Moortgat Brewery is known for its beer, but sometimes, it also distils whisky. This Celebration Bottle was released in 2023. The 10-year-old, bourbon and sherry-aged, marsala-finished single malt whisky was bottled in this nice bottle at 40%.
In 2021, the Duvel Moortgat brewery released a distillate of their famous beer, aged for 10 years in bourbon and muscatel casks. It was a bottling to celebrate the brewery's 150th anniversary, in bottles shaped like upside-down beer glasses. (40%)
