The Powerscourt Estate in Ireland is a large, classic estate that has been used as a film set on several occasions. It also seemed like the ideal place for a distillery to a few whisky enthusiasts, and so it happened that in June 2018 the first spirit flowed from newly built distillation equipment from the Scottish company Forsyths. The Powerscourt Distillery produces whisky (or whiskey in Irish) under the brand name Fercullen. The Powerscourt Distillery also releases bottlings of other Irish whiskeys under that name.
