The Fuji Gotemba distillery is located at the foot of the iconic Mount Fuji in central Japan. Built in 1973, Fuji Gotemba produces both single malt and grain whisky using various types of stills. The grain whisky comes in several varieties: for instance, there is grain whisky used for the distillery's own blended whiskies, as well as a ‘bourbon-style’ grain whisky. Although it is one of the world's largest whisky distilleries, it remains relatively unknown. Fuji Gotemba is part of the Kirin Distillery Company.
