The Glen Albyn Distillery was productive from 1846 to 1983 with jolts and shocks, for example due to fire or war. The distillery located in Inverness in Scotland was demolished in 1986. There have hardly been any distillery bottlings. No independent bottlings have been released since 2012: the Glen Albyn casks apparently had run out. Until Gordon & MacPhail released a 43-year-old bottling in 2023, in an edition of 95 bottles.
New bottlings of Glen Albyn single malt whisky, the distillery of which closed in 1983, will hardly be released anymore. That's why this 26-year-old Rare Malts bottling from 2002 is worth attention alone. A Highlander with a character of its own. (54.8%)
