Glentauchers is a single malt whisky distillery in the Speyside, which was founded in 1898, in the midst of the great whisky crisis of that time. But Glentauchers survived. Yet the distillery has always remained somewhat in the shade. That of course has to do with the fact that almost the entire production goes to the blend industry (Ballantine’s, Teacher's). In addition to a handful of distillery bottlings, some 600 independent Glentauchers bottlings have appeared so far.
