Gouden Carolus is the brand name of both a beer brewed at the Belgian brewery Het Anker and a single malt whisky produced at Stokerij de Molenberg, established in 2010 in that brewery. The whisky is distilled from the Anker beer, and is sometimes finished on Golden Carolus beer barrels. The Stokerij de Molenberg distillery, based in Mechelen (be), also releases whisky under other brand names.
To celebrate the 11th anniversary of their single malt whisky, Stokerij De Molenberg released this Gouden Carolus Pedro. The Belgian malt aged in bourbon and beer casks and is finished in Spanish vermouth casks. That vermouth was made from PX grapes. 46%
