The Great Northern Distillery is owned by the Teeling family, among others. With its pot stills and column stills, the distillery produces various whiskies, including grain, single malt (two times and triple distilled), and pot still whisky. In 2018, the first 3-year-old whiskies were released. Great Northern mainly distills on a contract basis for private labels and liquor stores but also supplies additional spirit to small distilleries. In 2023 the capacity was 16 million liters of spirit per year.
