Islay Mist is one of the brands under which MacDuff International releases blended whiskies. The origin of Islay Mist Blended Scotch lies, not surprisingly, on the Scottish island of Islay, where it was thought about 100 years ago in connection with certain festivities that the local single malt Laphroaig might be too strong for some guests. The solution was found in this blend of Laphroaig with Speyside malts and grain whisky.
