Kurayoshi the foothills of Mt. Daisen, uses fine water that is indispensable for whisky distilling. Kurayoshi, which means "Life is good" is the name of the distillery. The annual temperature range in the Sea of Japan side is wide, which means the aging of whisky is faster then for instance in Scotland.
It is no exaggeration to say that whisky is made by barrel and the nature. The distillery is not big, with only a small number of employees.
