A Finnish group of friends sat in the sauna and drank a rye whisky. Realizing that no one in Finland made whisky out of rye, they decided to do it themselves. And so, in 2014, the Kyrö Distillery Company started distilling the first batch of newmake spirit from 100% malted rye.
