The Loch Lomond Distillery was established in 1966 on the shores of the lake Loch Lomond in the western Highlands. It is one of the few Scottish distilleries that produce both malt and grain whisky. Loch Lomond now has various types of stills under the roof: classic pot stills, Lomond stills (a kind of enhanced pot stills) and continuous stills. One of the continuous stills is fed exclusively with barley malt. Loch Lomond calls the end product thereof 'malt whisky'. There are doubts about that.
Loch Lomond produces whisky under various labels. To name a few: Craiglodge, Croftengea, Inchfad, Inchmoan,Inch Murrin and Old Rhosdhu.
