Small quantities of American quality whiskies appear under the Olde St. Nick and Very Olde St. Nick brands, initially intended for export to Japan. It was, and still is, difficult to get a whisky from this brand. (Very) Olde St. Nick is not a distillery, but a bottler's brand. For example, the traditionally produced bourbon is purchased at the Heaven Hill Distillery in Kentucky. There is a haze of mystery around the brand.
