The Strathmill distillery has been from its origins in 1891 focused on the production of single malt whisky for the blend industry. Of this Speyside distillery, apart from a Flora & Fauna bottle, actually no distillery bottlings are known. There are, however, a few hundred independent bottlings.
Strathmill is located in Keith and has nearby neighbours Strathisla, Glen Keith, Aultmore and Glentauchers distilleries.
Signatory Vintage once had the Scottish Wildlife series. For every bottle sold in that series, the bottler made a donation to The Scottish Wildlife Trust. This squirrel edition from that series is a 10-year-old, bourbon-aged Strathmill single malt. (43%)
Bottler Gordon & MacPhail has had a Spirit of Scotland series for years. This series features exclusive single-cask bottlings at cask strength of Scotch whiskies, such as this 14-year-old, bourbon-aged, subtly fruity Strathmill single malt. (55% ABV)
