As one of Diageo's Classic Malts, Talisker is the kind of single malt whisky brand that has bottles at every liquor store. The Talisker distillery is located on Scotland’s largest island, Skye, in the western Highlands. Since 1831. The distillery produces a medium-peated, robust single malt. Talisker was hit by a huge fire in 1960. This started with spirit that flowed out of the still during a distillation round through an accidentally open valve. The escaped spirit ignited with the result that the entire still-house burned to the ground. Only in 1962 was Talisker able to make whisky again.
In 2003 you already had Distillers Editions, extra special bottlings from several distilleries, such as this one from Talisker. This peated single malt whisky is about 13 years old, and it matured in an Amoroso sherry cask; you don't see that often! 45.8%
More than 15 years ago, this special Talisker was bottled, after it was vatted for 25 years before. A complex but balanced taste palette in the nose and mouth, all of the notes that characterize Talisker single malt whisky and more. Top class!
We are always happy to offer bottles like this. This one is a 30-year-old Talisker from 2010, a Diageo Special Release. The peated single malt whisky from Skye matured in American and European oak casks. It scores over 91 points on Whiskybase. (57.3%)

With the Port Ruighe bottlings, Talisker releases a single malt whisky matured on Ruby port casks. This probably young dram is sweet and uncomplicated, with clear port influences, peat and salty notes in the background. A pleasantly drinkable dram.
Smoke and the sea, those are the first words that come to mind with this Talisker Storm single malt whisky. In addition to yellow and red fruit, salty notes, seaweed, bacon, smoked fish play a key role. That produces an interesting dram!
