The English Whisky is the brand under which The English Whisky Company releases single malt whisky produced by St George’s Distillery in Roudham, Norfolk, England. The distillation is done here without a computer. The company was founded by James Nelstrop and his son Andrew. In December 2006, the first casks were filled with spirit from St George’s Distillery. The first The English Whisky bottles were released at the end of 2009. Independent bottlings of this English whisky are also regularly released.

Smokey Virgin, that is The English Whisky Company calls this single malt whisky that came out in their Small Batch Release series. And that is not for nothing. The whisky matured for 6 years in new (virgin) oak casks treated with peat smoke. (46%)
