In December 1969, the Willowbank Distillery in Dunedin, New Zealand, began operating and producing whisky under the Wilson brand. In 1981, Seagram's acquired the distillery and installed traditional copper stills. The resulting whisky was released under the name Lammerlaw. The distillery closed in 1995.
This is a blend of two single malt batches, one distilled in 1988 and the other in 1992, from the Willowbank Distillery nearby New Zealand's Lammerlaw Mountains, which closed in 1997. This whisky has always been in limited supply, but it is now rare! 46%
