Yamazaki is a Japanese distillery for single malt whisky. The distillery was the first whisky producer in Japan, founded in 1923 in Shimamoto, Osaka.The whisky matures on American or European casks, but also on Japanese oak casks, which gives it a unique flavor. The Yamazaki bottlings generally receive very high marks.
