The vast majority of the malt whisky from the century-and-a-half-old Inchgower Distillery disappears into blends. Fortunately, single malt bottlings of this whisky also appear every now and then, such as this 26-year-old, sherry-matured G&M edition. 54.8%
Inchmoan is a brand of the Loch Lomond Distillery, under which it releases a peated single malt whisky. This 'Rich Smoke and Spice' is a combination of spirit from the traditional pot still and the Loch Lomond still, aged for 12 years in bourbon casks.
Loch Lomond's Inchmurrin single malt whisky is unique because it's distilled using the Loch Lomond straight-neck pot stills. This 12-year-old Intense Orchard Fruit is even more unique in that it's matured in 3 different types of American oak casks. (46%)

Years ago, Indian whisky had a bad name. Since the Amrut Distillery from Bangalore came onto the market with its single malt whisky at the beginning of this century, that has changed. Indian whisky is top! Including that of Indri. You have to taste it!
In 2011, Whiskybase.com launched the bottling brand Archives. To date, Archives has released over 230 bottlings that have scored high on average, with 87.5 points. In 2016, this 43-year-old Invergordon single grain whisky came out. (49.9%, 88.7 points)
Invergordon is one of the best-known and well-appreciated single grain whiskies. So pay attention to this bottling from Berry Bros & Rudd. This Invergordon matured for 34 years in a bourbon cask, a barrel. Of course,e it is bottled at cask strength: 59.6%
The second Invergordon bottling from bottler Brachadair (‘Belgian roots…but Gaelic at heart’). This Invergordon single grain whisky is 33 years old. It matured all this time in a bourbon cask, a barrel. The grain was bottled in 193 bottles at 55.6%.
This is already the 246th bottling of the German Maltbarn, and this edition will also be well-appreciated. It is a single grain whisky from Invergordon, one of the most famous grain distilleries. It is 16 years old, bourbon matured, and at 55.1%.
We never had a bottling from the Italian whisky trade Lion's Whisky in the shop before, but this is one, released in 2017. It is an Irish single malt that matured for no less than 28 years in a bourbon cask. The whisky scores almost 91 points! (49.9%)
Do you like Irish whiskey? Maybe you can taste from which distillery this Irish single malt whisky comes. Bottler Brachadair does not mention the name. Éirinn go Brách says the label, and that the whisky is 16 years old and aged on bourbon ...
In the Elements of Islay series, Elixir Distillers now also releases blended malts. Which Islay single malt whiskies are in this blend is unknown. Matured in sherry casks, the blend is given the keywords smoked tea, autumn fruit and winter spices. (54.5%)
This single malt whisky was distilled in an (unnamed) Islay distillery, according to bottler Maltbarn. The whisky then matured for 24 years in a sherry cask and was bottled at 51.8%. Incidentally, the label features an image of the Laphroaig Distillery.
No longer in the well-known angular bottles, the new Claxton's series, but in a standard bottle. Like this Islay blended malt whisky in the Exploration Series. This blend of Islay single malt whiskies matured for 8 years in a refill sherry butt. (50%)
Jura is located just above Islay, famous for its peated whisky. The Jura whisky is not peated. You'll find honey and fresh fruit and a bit saltiness in the profile. As is also the case with this 10-year-old. With a 40% and nice price a good entry-level.
With 12 years of aging in bourbon barrels, including finishing on oloroso-sherry casks and a strength of 40%, you could call this Isle of Jura single malt whisky for this price a good entry-level dram. Easy to drink, more modest than in your face.
This is an extra striking edition in the already special Boutique Barrels bottling series of the Jura distillery: while Jura's single malt whisky is unpeated as standard, the bourbon-aged whisky in this bottling is peated (for the insider: 30ppm)! (55%)
If Jack Daniel's Tennessee whiskey had not been produced in Tennessee, but elsewhere in America, 'bourbon whiskey' would have been on the label. Anyway, are you looking for a whiskey to mix with, then Jack Daniel's Old No. 7 is a great option!
Jack Daniel's of course is known worldwide as the Tennessee variety of bourbon whiskey. It is much less known that also rye whiskey is released under the Jack Daniel's brand. We have one here, bottled in 2018 for the German market. Try one? (45%)
Something different from the well-known Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey. This is a blend of American malt, rye whiskey, and that bourbon-like Tennessee whiskey. The blend matured for 4 years in charred American oak barrels in a certified warehouse. (50%)

We don't know exactly how much longer this Jim Beam Kentucky straight bourbon matured than normal, but it does have an extra intense taste. A very pleasant drinkable bourbon whiskey. This Jim Beam Black is also extra attractive because of the nice price!
Daddy Rack in Tennessee distils a whisky related to bourbon. But Daddy now has a son, Jimmy Rack, and that is a Tennessee Straight Rye Whiskey. Distilled from 95% rye and 5% barley malt, aged in charred oak casks and maple charcoal filtered. (3y, 61.15%)
