This is a core bottling from Highland distillery Old Pulteney. This 18-year-old single malt whisky is clearly finished in quality sherry casks. Full of flavor, smooth and mild, with the sherry notes harmoniously in balance with the Old Pulteney character.
The Pulteney Distillery in the Highlands releases many bottlings of their Old Pulteney single malt whisky; you don't see independent bottlings very often. But this is one: a 16-year-old malt matured in a bourbon barrel, bottled at 55.3% cask strength.
In their classic Cask Strength Collection bottling series, Signatory Vintage releases this 16-year-old Pulteney single malt whisky. Pulteney (or Old Pulteney) whisky is not often seen as an independent bottling. This sherry-aged one from SV is 56.4%.
This Highland single malt whisky matured in both bourbon and Fino sherry casks, a combination that works very well here. Bottled in 2013, the 21-year-old Old Pulteney has a complex palate with well-balanced notes from start to finish. Bottled at 46% ABV.
There is Caol Ila single malt whisky in this blended malt, and for example Clynelish, Linkwood and Benrinnes. The whisky matured in bourbon, oloroso and French oak casks. This results in a fruity, nicely balanced dram: the Orchard House from Compass Box.
That Orkney 18 (HP) stands for an 18-year-old Highland Park will come as no surprise, and that this bottling from Signatory Vintage has a nice score is certainly no surprise either. The HP single malt whisky matured in a 1st-fill Oloroso cask. (55.0%)
We're not going to hide it: this is a Highland Park single malt whisky. Released by Archives for the 2017 Whiskybase Gathering after 15 years of maturation in a refill bourbon cask. A creamy dram with a hint of peat. A real HP. (58.7%)
This 'Orkney' single malt whisky was bottled in 2018 by Archives, especially for the American market. There, they will also know that an 'Orkney' whisky is Highland Park. The HP matured for 15 years in a bourbon cask. (55.9%, 750ml bottle content)
Orkney is not a whisky brand. If a bottler releases an edition with 'Orkney' in the name, it will be Highland Park single malt whisky from the distillery of the same name in the Orkneys. So this is a 16-year-old, bourbon cask-matured HP whisky. (54%)
It will no longer be a secret that the name Orkney hides a Highland Park single malt whisky. This Chapter 7 bottling of the famous Island whisky is 8 years old. During that period it matured in a red wine cask. Bottled at a cask strength of 52.8%.
This single-cask Panama Rum from Berry Bros & Rudd is no joke, even though it's on display in a whisky shop here. Distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2022, this is a very pleasantly drinkable rum, full of ripe yellow fruit, molasses and acacia honey. (55.7%)
Paul John is the brand under which the John Distilleries branch in Goa, India, releases single malt whisky. This is a bottling especially for Christmas 2020. The whisky matured in three types of casks: bourbon, oloroso-sherry and virgin oak. At 46%.

100% peated, as the Indian John Distilleries says about the Paul John Peated single malt whisky. With 55.5% alcohol, this is a solid dram. John Distilleries has won a whole series of international whisky awards with a Peated from this series.
This Peat & Sherry Cask bottling is released exclusively for Canada in the Elements of Islay series. It is a sherry-matured blend of Islay single malt whiskies, bottled at a cask strength of 55.4% and has been awarded a Whiskybase score of 88 points.
The age of the Penderyn Celt single malt whisky from Wales is unknown, but it is young. We do know that it finished on Islay quarter casks (Laphroaig?). That gives a touch of smoke to the taste and finish of this otherwise light dram.

Port Charlotte has established itself this century among the big names in smoky Islay whiskies. It is one of two heavily peated single malt whiskies from the Bruichladdich distillery. And this is the 10-year-old standard PC, the 2020 release. (50%)
