Strength

Old Pulteney 18-year-old

This is a core bottling from Highland distillery Old Pulteney. This 18-year-old single malt whisky is clearly finished in quality sherry casks. Full of flavor, smooth and mild, with the sherry notes harmoniously in balance with the Old Pulteney character.

Old Pulteney 2007 Whisky AGE

The Pulteney Distillery in the Highlands releases many bottlings of their Old Pulteney single malt whisky; you don't see independent bottlings very often. But this is one: a 16-year-old malt matured in a bourbon barrel, bottled at 55.3% cask strength.

Old Pulteney 2008 Signatory Vintage - Cask 12

In their classic Cask Strength Collection bottling series, Signatory Vintage releases this 16-year-old Pulteney single malt whisky. Pulteney (or Old Pulteney) whisky is not often seen as an independent bottling. This sherry-aged one from SV is 56.4%.

Old Pulteney 21-year-old

This Highland single malt whisky matured in both bourbon and Fino sherry casks, a combination that works very well here. Bottled in 2013, the 21-year-old Old Pulteney has a complex palate with well-balanced notes from start to finish. Bottled at 46% ABV.

Orchard House Compass Box

There is Caol Ila single malt whisky in this blended malt, and for example Clynelish, Linkwood and Benrinnes. The whisky matured in bourbon, oloroso and French oak casks. This results in a fruity, nicely balanced dram: the Orchard House from Compass Box.

Orkney (HP) 2005 Signatory Vintage - Cask DRU17 A63#29

That Orkney 18 (HP) stands for an 18-year-old Highland Park will come as no surprise, and that this bottling from Signatory Vintage has a nice score is certainly no surprise either. The HP single malt whisky matured in a 1st-fill Oloroso cask. (55.0%)

Orkney 2002 Archives - 58.7%

We're not going to hide it: this is a Highland Park single malt whisky. Released by Archives for the 2017 Whiskybase Gathering after 15 years of maturation in a refill bourbon cask. A creamy dram with a hint of peat. A real HP. (58.7%)

Orkney 2003 Archives - 55.9%

This 'Orkney' single malt whisky was bottled in 2018 by Archives, especially for the American market. There, they will also know that an 'Orkney' whisky is Highland Park. The HP matured for 15 years in a bourbon cask. (55.9%, 750ml bottle content)

Orkney 2006 Chapter 7

Orkney is not a whisky brand. If a bottler releases an edition with 'Orkney' in the name, it will be Highland Park single malt whisky from the distillery of the same name in the Orkneys. So this is a 16-year-old, bourbon cask-matured HP whisky. (54%)

Orkney 2014 Chapter 7

It will no longer be a secret that the name Orkney hides a Highland Park single malt whisky. This Chapter 7 bottling of the famous Island whisky is 8 years old. During that period it matured in a red wine cask. Bottled at a cask strength of 52.8%.

Panama Rum 2006 Berry Bros & Rudd - Cask 22

This single-cask Panama Rum from Berry Bros & Rudd is no joke, even though it's on display in a whisky shop here. Distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2022, this is a very pleasantly drinkable rum, full of ripe yellow fruit, molasses and acacia honey. (55.7%)

Paul John Christmas Edition 2020

Paul John is the brand under which the John Distilleries branch in Goa, India, releases single malt whisky. This is a bottling especially for Christmas 2020. The whisky matured in three types of casks: bourbon, oloroso-sherry and virgin oak. At 46%.

Paul John Nirvana - Batch No. 4

A great bottle to get acquainted with the Paul John single malt whisky from the Indian John Distilleries. The Nirvana takes you along the versatile Paul John spectrum of scents and flavors in the non-peated version. At 40% a dram for everyone.

Paul John Peated Select Cask 55.5%

100% peated, as the Indian John Distilleries says about the Paul John Peated single malt whisky. With 55.5% alcohol, this is a solid dram. John Distilleries has won a whole series of international whisky awards with a Peated from this series.

Peat & Sherry Islay Blended Malt Scotch Whisky Elements of Islay

This Peat & Sherry Cask bottling is released exclusively for Canada in the Elements of Islay series. It is a sherry-matured blend of Islay single malt whiskies, bottled at a cask strength of 55.4% and has been awarded a Whiskybase score of 88 points.

Penderyn Celt

The age of the Penderyn Celt single malt whisky from Wales is unknown, but it is young. We do know that it finished on Islay quarter casks (Laphroaig?). That gives a touch of smoke to the taste and finish of this otherwise light dram.

Penderyn Red Dragon Pack 3 x 20 cl

Penderyn, ever heard of it? This box is an introduction to this single malt whisky distillery that opened in Wales in 2004. Three single malts of which one finished in Madeira casks, one in red wine and the third is 'cask-peated'. 3 x 20 CL at 43%.

Penderyn Sherrywood

This edition of Penderyn Sherrywood single malt whisky aged on bourbon and on the special dry oloroso sherry casks. This combination of casks results in a beautifully balanced alternation of the fruity Penderyn notes with the sweet sherry notes. 46%.
