Ardnamurchan AD

A new Ardnamurchan Core Batch, a standard whisky from the young distillery. A feature of the Ardnamurchan single malt bottlings is that they are 50:50 peated/unpeated, and matured for 65% in bourbon and 35% in sherry casks. (6 years old, 46.8%)

Ardnamurchan AD/Madeira Cask Release

A new release from the young and promising Ardnamurchan Distillery in the West Highlands. This single malt whisky is 43% peated and 57% unpeated. The blend first matured in ex-bourbon casks and was then finished in first-fill Madeira casks. (52% ABV)

Arran 10-year-old

You can consider the Arran 10 years old as a standard bottling of the Arran Distillery. Nicely drinkable, light and uncomplicated, this is a single malt whisky for everyday or for an evening with friends. A nice introduction to the brand too.

Arran 12-year-old

The spirit for this Arran single malt whisky came from the still in the first year after the distillery opened on the Isle of Arran. It matured in bourbon and sherry casks and was bottled in 2008 at 46% ABV.

Arran 1996

This is a bottle from an early single cask bottling from the Isle of Arran Distillery. The 7-year-old Arran single malt whisky was bottled in 2004 in 299 bottles, at a cask strength of 57.3%. A powerful, well-balanced and surprisingly complex dram.

Arran 1996 - Cask 839

A special bottling from the Arran Distillery on the Scottish island of the same name. This single malt whisky matured for 24 years in a sherry cask, a hogshead. From that cask came 278 bottles, for the Dutch market. Bottled at 49.7%.

Arran 1996 Icons of Arran No. 1 - The Peacock

The Arran Distillery began operations in 1995; the spirit for this first Icons of Arran bottling, The Peacock, came from the still in 1996. It matured for 12 years in 13 bourbon and 7 sherry casks before being released as a single malt whisky in 2009. 46%

Arran 1998 - The Westie

This bottling came out in the Icons of Arran series in 2011. 6,000 bottles of Arran single malt whisky, vintage 1998, that matured in sherry casks. So, dating from the early years of Arran. A nicely balanced malt in which the sherry does not dominate. 46%

Arran 1999 - The Golden Eagle

This is No. 4 in the bottling series Icons of Arran: The Golden Eagle. This bottling of the Arran Distillery came out in 2012. The 12-year-old single malt whisky matured on 14 bourbon and 7 sherry casks, which resulted in a nice mix of cask-influences.

Arran 2003 - Exclusively for the Netherlands

This Arran single malt whisky was specially bottled for bottler Van Wees, exclusively for the Netherlands. The label says this Premium Cask malt is 17 years old. If you go by the dates mentioned, it is even 18 years old. Matured in a sherry cask. (54.7%)

Arran 2014 Liquid Treasures

Love & Peace is a series of bottlings by Liquid Treasures, which in turn is a brand of the German eSpirits Whisky. In the series, this Arran single malt whisky appeared after 10 years of maturation in a bourbon cask. The malt is bottled at a hefty 59.1%.

Arran Barrel Reserve

For those who want to get acquainted with the single malt whisky from The Isle of Arran Distillery, or with single malt whisky in general, this is a nice 'entry-level bottle'. The whisky matured in American oak casks and is bottled at a friendly strength.

Arran Machrie Moor 10-year-old

An new edition edition by the Arran distillery of their peated single malt whisky Machrie Moor. This whisky, which is bottled at 46%, is not too heavily peated and therefore remains a pleasantly drinkable dram, with the Arran profile clearly recognizable.

Arran Machrie Moor Cask Strength - 56.2%

Machrie Moor is the brand under which Arran releases peated malt. And within this brand there are the Cask Strength bottlings in a limited edition. The Machrie Moor's have their own character, different from the peated Islay's for example.

Arran Malt & Music Festival 2018

Unique: this bottle comes packaged in a guitar case! It comes from a bottling in celebration of the Arran Malt & Music Festival 2018, a blend of Arran single malt whiskies matured in three types of cask: French, Spanish and American oak. (57.6%)

Arran Port Cask Finish

The Arran Distillery is also doing 'finishing' these days. This bottling, for example, is finished in port casks and that gives the single malt whisky notes of hazelnut, strawberry jam and mandarin oranges. All well in balance with the Arran profile. 50%

Arran Quarter Cask - 56.2%

'Quarter Cask' the name says it all: This Arran single malt whisky is aged in small casks. The smaller the cask, the greater the wood influence, the faster the maturation appears to be. This also applies to this distillery bottling at cask strength (56.2%

Arran Sauternes Cask

The Arran Distillery has been experimenting with finishing its single malt whisky since the early 2000s. This dram, matured in a Premier Cru Sauternes cask, is a good example of this. Powerful, yet light and fruity. (56.2%)

Arran Sleeping Warrior

In 2011, the Isle of Arran Distillery released this special bottling, 'Sleeping Warrior', in 6000 bottles. The single malt whisky matured for more than 10 years in sherry, bourbon and red wine casks and was bottled at 54.9%. Youthful and complex.

Arran The Devil's Punch Bowl 3

The Devil's Punch Bowl bottlings from the Arran Distillery have near-legendary status. This 3rd Punch Bowl edition, from 2014, was just like the others 6,660 bottles in size. Rich, exotic, powerful, lots of chocolate and cocoa are some of the keywords.

Arran The Explorers Series - Lochranza Castle

In 2019, Lochranza Castle was released, the second edition in the Explorers Series from the Arran Distillery on the Isle of Arran. This Lochranza Castle is a 21-year-old single malt whisky matured in sherry casks and finished in Amontillado casks. (47.2%)

Auchentoshan 12-year-old

Auchentoshan is one of the few Scottish distilleries that uses triple distillation. This produces a light, floral-fruity whisky. As is the case with this 12-year-old standard bottling at 40%. A beautiful, ripe Lowland malt. A good entry-level whisky!

Auchentoshan 1997 The Whisky Blues

Auchentoshan is one of the few Scottish distillers with a distillation process of more than 2 passes. This gives a milder single malt whisky. The Whisky Blues bottled this Auchentoshan after it had matured for 26 years in a bourbon cask. (47.3% ABV)

Auchentoshan 1999 Douglas of Drumlanrig

Alweer tien jaar geleden bracht bottelaar Douglas of Drumlanrig een botteling van 374 flessen Auchentoshan single malt-whisky uit. Dit is waarschijnlijk de enige fles daarvan die nu te koop is. De 15 jaar oude Lowlander rijpte op een bourbonvat. (46%)
