Balvenie 12-year-old Doublewood

A new release of the 12-year-old Balvenie single malt whisky in the Double Wood series. Double Wood, that's what it says: first matured in bourbon vas's and then finished in sherry casks. This 12-year-old malt combines the best of both worlds! At 40%.

Balvenie 14-year-old Caribbean Cask

In 1973, The Balvenie Distillery in Speyside began bottling their single malt whisky. And now, about fifty years later, the brand is in the top 10 of best-selling single malts. This Caribbean is a 14-year-old Balvenie finished on rum casks. At 43%.

Banff 1974 Samaroli

To celebrate its 35th anniversary, the Italian quality bottler Samaroli released this almost 30-year-old, sherry-matured Banff single malt whisky in 2003. Banff whisky is already a collector's item, but this Samaroli edition is extra special! (45% ABV)

Barbados 15 NAS Rum Decadent Drinks

It is composed of a 2005 barrel mixed with a 2007 barrel, both of which spent 11 years maturing tropically in Barbados before transfer to the UK. It is bottled at 50%. It's full of coconut sweetness and pulpy and exotic fruit notes.

Ben Nevis 1995 The Whisky Blues

The Taiwanese bottler The Whisky Blues already scored 90 points with a Ben Nevis bottling from 1996, now they released a Ben Nevis from 1995. The Highland single malt whisky matured in a sherry cask for 27 years and was bottled at cask strength (50.6%).

Ben Nevis 1995 The Whisky Jury

This is a bottle from the very first bottling of the Belgian bottler The Whisky Jury. It is a 23-year-old Ben Nevis single malt whisky that matured in a refill bourbon cask and is bottled at 51.2%. Delicate and complex, a creamy tropical fruit bomb!

Ben Nevis 1996 Murray McDavid

Bottler Murray McDavid is known for its expertise in finishing whisky.
However, due to the excellent quality of the cask in which this Ben Nevis single malt whisky matured for 25 years (a bourbon hogshead), this edition did not require finishing! (53.9%)

Ben Nevis 1997 Sansibar

This bottle was bottled by Sansibar in 2017 for the S-Spirits Shop in Taiwan (see the beautiful label). It is a 19-year-old Ben Nevis single malt whisky that matured in a bourbon hogshead and was bottled at a cask strength of 52.3%.

Ben Nevis 2007 Blackadder - Ingelred

In 2007, this Ben Nevis was vatted in a bourbon cask and then transferred in 2021 to a PX cask for finishing. However, due to corona, the single malt remained in that cask much longer than intended. That resulted in a nicely sherried dram! (15 y, 50.2%)

Ben Nevis 2012 Blackadder - Ingelred

Ingelred is a Scandinavian label under bottler Blackadder's supervision, mainly releasing Ben Nevis single malt whiskies, such as this one. The 11-year-old Highlander, with its dark amber colour, matured in a Marsala cask and is bottled at 51.7%.

Ben Nevis 2013 Ultimate - Cask 416 - 60.5%

The Ben Nevis Distillery produces a classic Highland single malt whisky that scores well on whiskybase.com, for example. Van Wees has now released this Ben Nevis bottling for a reasonable price again. 7 years old, matured on a bourbon cask, and at 60.5%.

Ben Nevis 21-year-old The Whisky Exchange

To coincide with the 2018 Whisky Exchange Whisky Show, The Whisky Exchange released this excellent Ben Nevis bottling. The Highland single malt whisky matured for 21 years in a sherry cask and was bottled at 47.5% in a limited edition of just 144 bottles.

Ben Nevis Coire Leis

Without much fanfare, Ben Nevis Distillery has redesigned its labels and revamped its range of standard bottlings. This Core Leis is an example of that: an 'entry level' NAS (8 to 10 years?) single malt whisky matured in 1st-fill bourbon casks. (46%)

Ben Nevis Traditional

The title Traditional of this Ben Nevis bottling refers to the times when single malt whisky was only distilled from peated barley malt. Hence, the Peated Malt on the label. You could, therefore, call this smoky and peaty whisky a classic Ben Nevis. (46%)

BenRiach 10-year-old The Original Ten

BenRiach has released a new core bottling: The Original Ten. This 10-year-old single malt whisky aged in 3 different casks, which mainly yields fruity notes (apple, pear, nectarine), but also vanilla, honey, sweet malt and a hint of smoke. Bottled at 43%.

BenRiach 10-year-old The Smoky Ten

A new smoky single malt whisky from the BenRiach Distillery. This The Smoky Ten matured for 10 years (naturally) in three types of casks: bourbon, rum and new oak. In addition to smoke, this malt also contains notes of summer-ripe fruit, pear and honey.

BenRiach 10-year-old Triple Distilled

BenRiach is not afraid to experiment. Their normal distilling process is in two runs, as with most other Scottish whiskymakers, but this edition is triple-distilled. This produces a lighter, milder single malt whisky. Matured in bourbon and sherry casks.

BenRiach 12-year-old - The Twelve

Speyside distillery BenRiach is releasing several 12 year old single malt whiskies in its new series The Twelve. We had a smoky variant in the shop before, now this BenRiach matured in 3 different types of cask: sherry, bourbon and port. Bottled at 46%.

BenRiach 12-year-old The Smoky Twelve

BenRiach 16-year-old

The BenRiach The Sixteen is an enjoyable and affordable single malt whisky. This bottling matured for 16 years in 3 different cask types: bourbon, sherry, and virgin oak. A delicate dram with notes such as stone fruit, hazelnut, apricot, and honey. (43%)

BenRiach 1977 - Cask 9119 - Bottled for Asta Morris

In 2011 and 2012, the BenRiach distillery bottled a number of special casks of its single malt whisky especially for the Belgian Asta Morris. This edition, the 1977, matured for 33 years in a refill bourbon cask and was bottled at 45.7% cask strength.

BenRiach 1991 Berry Bros & Rudd

Berry Bros & Rudd managed to get hold of a cask of BenRiach single malt whisky from well before the brand's resurrection in 2004. The cask, a bourbon hogshead, yielded 254 bottles of an approximately 32-year-old, 48.3% strong BenRiach. Quite special!

BenRiach 2011 Alistair Walker Whisky Company

The Alistair Walker Whisky Company is an expert in finishing whisky. This BenRiach single malt whisky has also undergone a post-maturation in a carefully selected cask, a Madeira hogshead. In total, the Speysider matured for 13 years. (57% cask strength)
