Ten years ago, Malts of Scotland selected and bottled this Ardbeg single malt whisky for the Dunes An Oir label of the Dutch liquor store Van Zuylen. The heavily peated Islay malt matured for 17 years in a sherry cask and was bottled at 58.9%.

In the new Caramel Malt series of the young Danish Thy Whisky Distillery, this bottling appeared in 2025. The 4-year-old single malt whisky matured in PX, oloroso and bourbon casks and was bottled in a limited edition at a cask strength of 54.5%.
Curious about a smoky Danish single malt whisky? Then take your chance now with this Bøg from the Thy Whisky Distillery. The malt for this whisky was dried over a beech wood fire. The whisky matured in sherry casks. Rich, meaty, dried fruit. (50%)
We are always happy to offer bottles like this. This one is a 30-year-old Talisker from 2010, a Diageo Special Release. The peated single malt whisky from Skye matured in American and European oak casks. It scores over 91 points on Whiskybase. (57.3%)
Every once in a while we have one in the shop, a Port Ellen. And now it's that time again! On the shelf is now a Port Ellen 8th Release, a Diageo Special Release. The almost legendary Islay single malt whisky matured for no less than 29 years. (55.3%)
This single-cask Panama Rum from Berry Bros & Rudd is no joke, even though it's on display in a whisky shop here. Distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2022, this is a very pleasantly drinkable rum, full of ripe yellow fruit, molasses and acacia honey. (55.7%)
Haha, whiskybase suddenly has rum in their shop!...No, this is not an April Fool's joke! This is really a rum bottling from The Whisky Blues and not just any rum! It is a 30-year-old, bourbon-matured rum from the Guyanese Uitvlugt Distillery, 50.4% ABV.
This Glenfarclas single malt whisky is one of the many bottlings from the famous The Family Casks series of this Speyside distillery. It is about 24 years old and, of course, matured in a sherry cask. It was bottled at 53.9% cask strength in 597 bottles.
In 2024, Wolfburn Distillery acquired a small number of exquisite Limousin oak Cognac casks. In these casks, they finished their single malt whisky for six months, which had previously matured in first-fill bourbon casks. A wealth of flavours! (8y, 46%)
The label was designed by renowned artist Tony Koehl, the whisky was distilled by Glen Keith, and the bottler is Creative Whisky Company. The 22-year-old Speyside single malt whisky was bottled in 2013 in 188 bottles at a cask strength of 51.5%.
The Imperial Distillery, built in Speyside in 1897, closed a century later, in 1998. Of course, independent bottlings of the single malt whisky have continued to appear since then, but fewer and fewer. This one is from 2013. (17y, bourbon matured, 51.2%)
You will not often find a blended grain whisky. And certainly not one like this one from Compass Box. The grains Cameronbridge and Girvan together form, after a maturation of 15 to 25 years, a creamy, soft blend with depth, very pleasant to drink. (46%)
Compass Box is a master of whisky blending. This Secrets of Smoke is proof of that: a blend of the Islay whiskies Caol Ila, Bowmore and Laphroaig and the Highlander Ardmore. The malts matured in Palo Cortado, Spanish red wine and Marsala casks. (52% ABV)
Living Souls was founded by three Scotsmen working in the whisky world. Their goal is to release high-quality whisky bottlings. One of their first editions is this 40 (!) year old blended Scotch. Since 1998 the blend matured in an ex-Islay cask. (41.2%)
In their very affordable 100 Proof series, Signatory Vintage also releases single grain whiskies. Here, for example, is a 15-year-old North British, a Lowlands grain. The whisky matured in first- and second-fill Oloroso and bourbon casks. (57.1%)
Speyside distillery Strathmill's single malt whisky isn't all that well known, but this bottling from Signatory, released in their affordable 100 Proof series, proves that wrong. The whisky matured for 12 years in a first-fill Oloroso cask. (57.1% ABV)
Speysider Knockando's single malt whisky isn't often seen as an independent bottling, but here is another one again, released in Signatory Vintage's popular Cask Strength Collection. A 16-year-old, PX-finished, complex and full-bodied dram. (51.6%)
A very affordable Glen Spey that will certainly appeal to lovers of sherry matured whisky! The 9-year-old Speyside single malt whisky matured in a first-fill Oloroso cask. Chocolate, dark fruit, figs, raisins, leather, cinnamon and nutmeg. (57.1% ABV)
In their classic Cask Strength Collection bottling series, Signatory Vintage releases this 16-year-old Pulteney single malt whisky. Pulteney (or Old Pulteney) whisky is not often seen as an independent bottling. This sherry-aged one from SV is 56.4%.
The Starward Distillery in Melbourne makes pleasantly drinkable, not too complex single malt whisky, whisky to share with friends or to mix in cocktails. This Nova is one of those. The young malt matured in various types of Australian red wine barrels.
Longrow is the name under which the Springbank Distillery releases a peated malt. Smoke, peat, and malt are clearly present, and also salt, citrus and, for example, grass. And there is the influence of the bourbon casks on which this malt matured. (46%)
Farm distillery Kilchoman on Islay bottled this Coull Point edition of its peated single malt whisky in 2024. The malt matured in bourbon casks and is finished in Oloroso sherry casks. Stewed fruit, powerful peat smoke notes, sweet notes and vanilla. 46%
This Allegro part of Chichibu's Symphony Edition features smoky tones from the peated ex-bourbon cask the blend was matured in. Other tones in this harmonious part are tropical fruits, manuka honey, peppered roast beef and pineapple. (60% cask strength)
