Just a few months ago, there was the Ardnahoe Inaugural release, and here comes the young Islay distillery with this, also 5-year-old Infinite Loch. The peated single malt whisky matured in ex-bourbon and Oloroso casks and is bottled at 50% ABV.
This 18 year old single malt whisky is a core bottling from the Isle of Arran Distillery. This bottle is from batch 2024. The whisky matured in specially selected sherry casks, which gives notes of orange, dark chocolate and baked peach. (46%)

This Velvet Cap edition from Ireland's Blackwater Distillery is a mildly peated single malt whisky finished in sherry casks. With its 5 years of maturation it is a young whisky, but surprisingly full and balanced, the peat smoke is subtly present. 40%
In 2022, the young Irish Blackwater Distillery bottled this Velvet Cap single malt whisky. The 5-year-old malt is finished in Bordeaux wine casks that gave it its golden colour. You can taste red fruit, orange, vanilla, caramel, nougat and more. (40%)
This The Hearach single malt whisky from the Isle of Harris is bottled especially for the Benelux countries. The craft distillery, which started in 2015, bottled this whisky at 55.1% ABV after it had matured for 5 years in an ex-Heaven Hill bourbon cask.
To clear up any ambiguity: Ardlair single malt whisky comes from the famous Ardmore Distillery. Released by bottler Van Wees in the The Ultimate series, this Ardlair aged for 13 years in a refill sherry cask and was bottled at a hefty 63.5% cask strength.
Bottler Van Wees always tries to keep the price of its The Ultimate bottlings manageable, like this 12-year-old Linkwood single malt whisky. It first matured in a bourbon cask and was finished for 21 months in an Oloroso cask. (56.8%)
Bottler Van Wees was able to get a batch of casks filled with Staoisha, the peated Bunnahabhain single malt whisky. This Staoisha bottling comes out in the nicely priced The Ultimate series. 9 years old and matured in re-charred bourbon casks. (46%)
A true Speyside malt, this 12-year-old Glen Elgin bottled by casQueteers, with lots of fruity notes: apple, grapes, peach, lemon, banana, and more. In addition, notes such as cinnamon, sawdust, pencil and malt. The single malt whisky is bottled at 57.7%.
The third Laphroaig bottling in Speciality Drinks’ Elements of Islay series was released in 2011. The single malt whisky matured in traditional hogsheads and is bottled at 58.7% cask strength. It received a score of over 87 points on Whiskybase.
The second Bunnahabhain bottling in Speciality Drinks’ Elements of Islay series was released in 2011. The single malt whisky matured in refill hogsheads and is bottled at 56.1% cask strength. It received a score of almost 86 points on Whiskybase so far.
The eighth Bowmore bottling in Elixir Distillers’ Elements of Islay series was released in 2020. The 16-year-old single malt whisky matured in bourbon and sherry casks and is bottled at 51.2% cask strength. It has a score of 87 points on Whiskybase.
The fifth Ardbeg bottling in Speciality Drinks’ Elements of Islay series was released in 2014. The single malt whisky matured in an Oloroso sherry cask and is bottled at 57.8% cask strength. It received a score of 87.6 points on Whiskybase so far.
The second Lagavulin bottling in Speciality Drinks’ Elements of Islay series was released in 2010. The single malt whisky matured in bourbon and sherry casks and is bottled at 58.0% cask strength. It received a score of 87 points on Whiskybase so far.
The eighth Laphroaig bottling in the Elements of Islay series was released in 2017. The 19-year-old single malt whisky matured in ex-Madeira wine casks and is bottled at 53.5% cask strength. It received a score of almost 89 points on Whiskybase so far.
The sixth Bruichladdich bottling in Speciality Drinks’ Elements of Islay series was released in 2015. The 22-year-old single malt whisky matured in five refill hogsheads and is bottled at 50.4% cask strength. Whiskybase score so far: 85
The fourth Bunnahabhain bottling in Speciality Drinks' Elements of Islay series was released in 2012. The single malt whisky matured in bourbon casks and is bottled at 54.5% cask strength. This is a peated Bunnahabhain, by the way!
The second Laphroaig bottling in Speciality Drinks’ Elements of Islay series was released in 2011. The single malt whisky was matured in bourbon casks and bottled at 64.1% (!) cask strength. It received a score of almost 86 points on Whiskybase so far.
The fourth Bruichladdich bottling in Speciality Drinks’ Elements of Islay series was released in 2012. The single malt whisky was matured in 4 bourbon casks and bottled at 54.7% cask strength. It received a score of almost 86 points on Whiskybase so far.
The fifth Bruichladdich bottling in Speciality Drinks’ Elements of Islay series was released in 2013. The single malt whisky was matured in 3 bourbon casks and bottled at 53.8% cask strength. It received a score of almost 88 points on Whiskybase so far.
The ninth Lagavulin bottling in Elixir Distillers’ Elements of Islay series was released in 2018. The single malt whisky was matured in 2 ex-Laphroaig casks and bottled at 57.6% cask strength. It has received a score of 88 points on Whiskybase so far.
The eighth Caol Ila bottling in Elixir Distillers’ Elements of Islay series was released in 2017. The single malt whisky was matured in five bourbon casks and bottled at 55.2% cask strength. It has received a score of about 86 points on Whiskybase so far.
In 2017, Hunter Laing's Ardnahoe Distillery on Islay opened its doors; on 9th November 2018, the first cask was filled with spirit, and now, in 2024, the first bottling of this peated single malt is there. Matured in bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks. 50%
