Balcones 2017 Archives - 62.9%

This is a Texas single malt whisky from the young Balcones distillery, in Texas indeed. The powerful (62.9%) whisky was bottled in 2021 by Archives in their Venomous Snakes series. The whisky matured for only 3 years but is rich and full of flavour!

Balcones 2017 Archives 66.3%

In 2021, Archives released three bottlings in the Venomous Snakes series, three single malt whiskies from Texas-based Balcones Distilling. Like the others, this one is a powerful dram at 66.3% ABV. It matured for 4 years in a new French oak cask.

Ben Nevis 1996 Archives - 50.1%

A unique bottling, this Ben Nevis 1996! Archives released it in 2019, not in one of their well-known series, but as 'Gene's Dram' for WhiskJockey Canton in China. The 23-year-old, bourbon-matured single malt whisky scores 90 points on Whiskybase! (50.1%)

Ben Nevis 1999 Archives - 55.4%

With Taiwanese ART, Archives bottled a Ben Nevis single malt whisky in 2015 that had matured for 16 years in a bourbon cask. A beautiful combination of the fruity, maritime and modestly smoky character of the Islay malt and the notes of the cask. (55.4%)

Blair Athol 2015 - Archives - 62.3%

This Archives bottling was released in their perhaps smallest and most unknown series: Squids from Belgium. This is a remarkably young Blair Athol bottling. The Highland malt matured for 4 years in a special 'first fill' Koval bourbon cask. (62.3%)

Bruichladdich 2008 Archives - 52.5%

An exemplary 'Laddie', is how tasters describe this 12-year-old Bruichladdich single malt whisky, bottled in 2018 by Archives in the Fishes of Samoa series. The Islay malt matured in an ex-bourbon cask and is bottled at a cask strength of 52.5%.

Burnside 1989 Archives - 46.2%

This was one of the Archives' bottlings for the 2018 Whiskybase Gathering. Just to be clear: Burnside blended malt is Balvenie single malt whisky with a teaspoon of Glenfiddich. This Burnside matured for a whopping 28 years in a bourbon cask. (46.2%)

Collectie - Deanston 1997 Archives - 55.8%

Highland distillery Deanston’s single malt whisky is not often seen as an independent bottling. However, Archives, for example, bottled in 2013 a fine, creamy Deanston that matured in a bourbon cask for 15 years, at a cask strength of 55.8%.

Collectie - Port Charlotte 2001 Archives - 62.2%

This 2016 Port Charlotte edition is a must-have for your Archives collection, so grab your chance now! The heavily peated Islay single malt whisky matured for 15 years in a refill bourbon barrel and is bottled at a hefty cask strength of 62.2%.

Collectie - Springbank 1996 Archives - 54.9% - # 551

All of the Springbank single malt whiskies bottled by Archives got high scores. This is also the case for this 2016 bottling of a Springbank that matured for 19 years in a refill bourbon hogshead. 239 bottles came from that cask, at 54.9% cask strength.

Cragganmore 1989 Archives - 48.7%

Cragganmore is the Speyside representative in Diageo's Classic Malts of Scotland. Independent bottlings of the single malt whisky are also released, including this 27-year-old, sherry cask-matured edition from Archives from 2016. (only 70 bottles, 48.7%)

Deanston 1997 Archives 52.7%

This bottle is from an Archives bottling, especially for the USA. Bottled in 2019 in 270 bottles at 750ml, the Deanston single malt whisky matured for 21 years in a bourbon cask. As usual with Archives bottlings, the Highlander is at cask strength (52.7%)

Fettercairn 2008 Archives - 56.3%

The two-century-old Fettercairn distillery in the East Highlands is not well-known. Yet their stills sometimes produce surprisingly good bottlings. This is an Archives bottling from 2022. The single malt whisky aged in a bourbon cask for 13 years. (56.3%)

Glen Elgin 2011 Archives

If you love fruit, this new Archives bottling is definitely for you! The Glen Elgin single malt whisky offers you a bowl full of fruit, delicately sprinkled with spices. The Speysider matured for 14 years in a 1st-fill bourbon cask. Bottled at 56.1%.

Glen Garioch 2011 Archives - 57.7%

A full, complex, oily and creamy dram, rich in fruity notes, spicy; some smell a hint of smoke. That is, in short, the profile of this Glen Garioch single malt whisky. Bottled by Archives after 11 years of maturation in a bourbon cask. (57.7%)

Glen Grant 1990 Archives - 56.6%

Glen Grant is one of the best-known and best-selling Speyside single malt whiskies. In 2015, Archives released this 25-year-old, bourbon matured and at cask strength (56.6%) bottled edition. Easy-drinking and packed with lots of fruit, a classic Speysider

Glen Keith 1992 Archives - 51.5%

Almost all bottlings of Glen Keith single malt whisky come from independent bottlers. A good example is this Archives bottling from 2014. The Speysider matured for 21 years in a bourbon cask. Full and fruity, with notes of vanilla, spices, and oak. 50.7%

Glen Keith 1995 Archives - 56.0%

That the Glen Keith Distillery produces real fruity Speyside single malt whisky is proven once again by this Archives bottling. The malt matured for 22 years in a bourbon cask and is bottled at 56.0% cask strength. An explosion of all kinds of fruit!

Glen Moray 2008 Archives - 54.5%

In their Birds from the Orient series, Archives released this Glen Moray in 2023. The Speyside single malt whisky matured for 14 years in a first-fill bourbon cask and emerged as a very drinkable summer single malt whisky with mild fruity notes. (54.5%)

Glen Spey 1988 Archives - 47.3%

In 2014, Whiskybase bottler Archives released a 25-year-old Glen Spey single malt whisky. It’s not often you get the chance to taste this light, very pleasantly drinkable Speysider, especially not one of that age and at cask strength (47.3%)!
