VAT changes 1st of July 2021

Since the 1st of July 2021 we are working with a European setup for VAT payments.

What changed?

The EU has changed the way VAT payments can be handled. In short: we are paying the VAT in the country where the purchased product is send to. In the past we have been dealing with local governments handling VAT payments per country. Since the 1st of July this can be done through the dutch tax office.

As this makes it easier for us deal with local VAT rules, we can now offer our assortment to a larger audience.

What is the effect on prices?

As each country has a different VAT scheme (ranging from 7.7% to 28%) we have adjusted the VAT scheme on our website. This means prices are either higher, or in some countries lower.

How does this effect me?

Depending on the country you are living in, you will see a different price once we know where to ship the bottles to. Starting the 1st of July you will be paying the local VAT rates.

How can I see the price I need to pay?

The easiest would be to sign into your account and you will see up to date prices displayed on the bottle pages.

If you are not logged in (and we don't know yet where to ship the bottles to) the price will be shown in the cart once you fill in the destination country.
