In 2014, Whiskybase bottler Archives released this classically sherried Bunnahabhain single malt whisky in their renowned Fishes of Samoa series. The unpeated Islay malt matured for 23 years in a large sherry cask, from which it was bottled at 47.9%.
Blair Athol is one of Scotland's oldest distilleries, but not one of the most famous. This is certainly not due to the quality of the single malt whisky, as this bottling proves. The Highlander matured for 13 years in a Ruby Port cask. (57.7%)
Bottlings of Inchgower single malt whisky are not very common (the vast majority of the whisky goes into blends); an Inchgower matured in a Marsala wine cask is a real rarity. But here it is! A 13-year-old Signatory Vintage bottling. (59.3% ABV)

In the line of quality bottlings, the Cask Strength Collection from Signatory Vintage cannot be missing. This Caol Ila edition underlines why. The medium-peated Islay single malt whisky matured for 17 years in a first-fill Oloroso cask. (57.7%)
Signatory Vintage released this Ben Nevis bottling in 2025 in their very affordable 100 Proof series. The classic Highland single malt whisky matured for 9 years in 1st-fill Oloroso sherry casks. It is a powerful, well-balanced sherried dram. (57.1%)
This bottling of The Whisky Blues is definitely not your average bourbon! The Heaven Hill Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey matured for 15 years before being bottled in 243 bottles at a cask strength of no less than 61.5%! Nice label by the way.
This is the 78th bottling of Taiwanese The Whisky Blues. It is a Caol Ila single malt whisky, and not just any one, but a Caol Ila that matured for 14 years in a rum cask! That makes one curious. The peated Islay malt is bottled at 55.9% cask strength.
The Redbreast 18-year-old is a new core bottling from this brand. The single pot-still whisky matured in a unique combination of casks: bourbon, Ruby Port, Oloroso and Cream Sherry. This resulted in a creamy, fruity and spicy, very drinkable dram. (46%)
In the Old Particular series Dutch Dram Masters by Douglas Laing, this Auchentoshan single malt whisky appeared, which matured for 11 years in a refill bourbon cask. The Lowlands malt is distilled in three passes, which gives it a lighter character. 55.5%
In 2021, Archives bottled this blend of Scotch malt whiskies for the American market (in 750ml bottles, of course). The whisky matured for 20 years in a sherry cask from which it was bottled at 44.6% cask strength. Red fruits, chocolate, tobacco, spices.
Archives' first Royal Brackla bottling is a little reserved at first, but give it time in the glass and the rich character of this Highland single malt whisky, matured for 16 years in a select bourbon cask, will reveal itself. (Bottled at 52.4% ABV)
Some of the single malt whisky in this Dornoch Edition of Glenmorangie is finished in Amontillado casks. This gives the dram, alongside the signature citrus and floral notes, rich, nutty notes and even a hint of sweet smoke. (Bottled at 43%)
If you love fruit, this new Archives bottling is definitely for you! The Glen Elgin single malt whisky offers you a bowl full of fruit, delicately sprinkled with spices. The Speysider matured for 14 years in a 1st-fill bourbon cask. Bottled at 56.1%.
This Hemel & Hellevuur (Heaven & Hellfire) Dutch single malt whisky is bottled by 3006 Whisky. The whisky from the young Brabant distillery Bossche Stokers matured for 5 years in an Oloroso octave cask, and is bottled at a cask strength of 54.7%.
This is the third batch of the Hemel & Hellevuur Dutch Single Malt Whisky from the young Dutch craft distillery Bossche Stokers. It is distilled from multiple types of malt and matured in three different sherry casks: PX, Palo Cortado and Amontillado. 48%
Over the years, Ardbeg has released several experimental bottlings. In 2014, there was, among others, this extra special Auriverdes Gold, in a limited edition of only 300 bottles. The peated single malt whisky matured in toasted American oak. (49.9% ABV)
This Chieftain's edition, a bottling of the lightly peated Highland whisky Ardmore, was released in 2012. The single malt matured for a total of 10 years, with the final period spent in a Manzanilla cask. It was bottled at a cask strength of 55.9% ABV.
Early this century, Douglas Laing bottled this Glenrothes single malt whisky in the Old Malt Cask series. The malt went into the cask in 1983 and after 18 years, it was bottled at 50% in 288 bottles. Of those, this is probably the only one still available
Already in 2009, the bottlings in the Old Malt Cask series from Douglas Laing were well received: see this Ardbeg edition. The peated Islay single malt whisky was matured for 18 years in a bourbon cask, yielding notes of vanilla, almonds, and honey. 50%
Smokehead is a single malt whisky brand from bottler Ian Macleod. As with the previous Smokehead bottlings, this is an anonymous peated Islay whisky. Often the age of these bottlings is unknown, but this is a malt that matured for 15 years. (43% ABV)
For this Limited Edition, Ardbeg created an extra-concentrated 'mash', the barley malt batter from which the spirit for single malt whisky is eventually distilled. This resulted in intense fruity and sweet notes. A rich, smoky, tropical dram! (48.3%)
For those who didn't know: when Signatory Vintage labels a bottling as Speyside (M), it's referring to a Macallan single malt whisky. So this is a Macallan that matured for 18 years in a first-fill Oloroso cask and is bottled at 57.3% cask strength.
