Bottler Van Wees is known for its reasonably priced 'The Ultimate' series. A fine example of the bottlings in that range is this 17-year-old Glen Elgin single malt. This Speyside whisky was finished for over two years in first-fill Amarone casks. (46%)
The Highland distillery Glen Ord is known for its reasonably priced standard bottlings. This Glen Ord edition from bottler Van Wees is also affordably priced. The single malt whisky is 13 years old and matured in a first-fill bourbon cask. (46% ABV)
This relatively young Laphroaig was bottled by Signatory Vintage exclusively for the Dutch market. The characteristic Islay single malt whisky matured for 9 years in a first-fill bourbon cask and was bottled into 277 bottles at a robust 61.2% ABV.
Signatory Vintage released this Bowmore in its renowned Cask Strength Collection, bottled exclusively for the Dutch market (though available worldwide with us). This classic Islay single malt matured for 10 years in a 1st-fill bourbon cask. (57.7% ABV)
To mark the 2008 Edinburgh International Festival, the Springbank family from Campbeltown bottled 2,008 bottles of this blended Scotch whisky. Naturally, this bottle contains whisky from the Springbank Distillery, as well as other Scotch whiskies. 40%
This is a 12-year-old blended Scotch whisky from the Mitchell family, descendants of Archibald Mitchell, founder of the Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown. The blend features whiskies from Campbeltown, as well as whisky from other parts of Scotland. 46%
And here is the Scallywag Winter Edition for 2026. This time, the blended malt whisky from bottler and blender Douglas Laing has undergone an extended finish in ex-Cognac casks. The blend of Speyside single malts is bottled at a cask strength of 54.2% ABV
In the run-up to the winter season, we have this 10-year-old Big Peat Winter Edition, finished in French red wine casks. Douglas Laing’s Big Peat bottlings are always blends of peated Islay single malt whiskies—truly 'Big Peat'. (48%)
Not many bottlings are released by the German company Glenscoma anymore, but this bottler certainly contributed to the development of a whisky culture on the European continent—for instance, with this 12-year-old, sherry-matured Springbank 1993 (46% ABV).
Bottlings from the small, picturesque Speyside Distillery itself are released under the SPEY brand name. In 2004, the renowned bottler Scott’s Selection released this single malt—aged at least 12 years—as a Speyside Distillery bottling at a robust 61.1%.
The spirit for this Dailuaine single malt whisky was distilled in 1973, half a century ago. 22 years later, the Speyside whisky was bottled at cask strength (61.8%)—including in 200 ml bottles like this one—as part of Diageo’s Rare Malts Selection.
A genuine ‘old-school’ edition of the classic Islay whisky Caol Ila, in a 200ml bottle. You don’t come across these very often! This single malt was distilled in 1975 and bottled 20 years later at a robust 61.1%. It scores 90.3 points on Whiskybase.
Diageo’s Rare Malts Selection once included small-bottle editions (200 ml). These featured some truly exceptional whiskies—take, for instance, this Glendullan single malt. Distilled in 1972, it was bottled after 23 years at a striking strength of 62,4%.
Small as it may be (200 ml), this is a truly exceptional bottle: the single malt whisky inside is a 20-year-old Brora, distilled in 1975! It comes at an astonishing cask strength of 60.75% ABV and boasts a Whiskybase-score of nearly 92 points! Unique!
In 1983, the now-legendary Port Ellen Distillery closed its doors. In 1995, Gordon & MacPhail released a 14-year-old, bourbon-matured edition of this peated Islay single malt whisky, bottled in 350 ml screw-cap bottles at a strength of 64.7%!
Signatory Vintage once released bottlings in 350 ml bottles with screw caps. This is one of them: a Glenallachie single malt distilled in 1985, matured in bourbon casks for 11 years, and bottled at 43% ABV. At a great price for such a unique bottle!
The Aberargie Distillery in Perthshire demonstrates the impact of the barley variety used for distillation with its 'Expressions' series. This 7-year-old single malt is distilled from Golden Promise barley. Matured in bourbon and sherry casks. (48.2%)
Aberargie Distillery launched in 2017; the first Aberargie single malt was released in 2025, and now, in 2026, this 7-year-old bottling—distilled from local barley—has been released. It matured for 68% in sherry and for 32% in bourbon casks. (48.2%)
A whisky to have at home for all day. This 10-year-old Hazelburn single malt whisky, a core bottling from the Springbank Distillery, is distilled three times instead of twice. This produces a soft, well-balanced and pleasantly drinkable dram. At 46%.
Under the name Longrow Springbank Distillery releases a peated malt. Smoke, peat, and malt are clearly present, and also salt, citrus and, for example, grass. And there is the influence of the bourbon and sherry casks in which this batch matured. (46%)
A young Springbank, but full of flavour! This Campbeltown single malt whisky matured for 5 years in high-quality bourbon casks and is bottled at 100 proof (57.1%). A harmonious and well-balanced dram with notes of fresh fruit, vanilla, and earthy notes.
For an excellent price, you can get all five Campbeltown single malt whiskies together in one bottle: Springbank, Hazelburn, Longrow, Glen Scotia and Kilkerran! The blend matured in bourbon and sherry casks, resulting in a mild, creamy and rich dram. 46%
The production of whisky by Lindores Abbey in the Scottish Lowlands is first recorded in 1494. More than five centuries later, this Lindores Abbey single malt whisky—matured in bourbon, sherry, and re-charred wine casks—makes its appearance. (46% ABV)
