Antique Lions of Spirits is an independent bottling collaboration based in Italy, formed by Max Righi of Silver Seal, Diego Sandrin of Lions Whisky in Venice, and Jens Drewitz of Sansibar. Launched in 2016, the project is known for its limited single-cask releases presented under series such as The Birds, The Butterflies, and The Savannah. These bottlings often pay tribute to classic Italian releases of the past, particularly Moon Import’s iconic wildlife-themed editions.
Antique Lions of Spirits is known for its 'long-matured' bottlings. Take this Bladnoch single malt whisky, bottled in 2017. The Lowlander matured for 27 years in a bourbon cask and emerged from it as a creamy, rich, fragrant, and powerful dram. (49.4%)
A whole range of 28-year-old single malt whiskies can be found in the 2016 series The Birds from Antique Lions of Spirits. This Blair Athol is one of them. Matured in a bourbon cask and bottled at 51.2% ABV. Oily, caramel, nuts, wood, and a touch of soap.

From 1975 to 2016, for 41 years, this single malt whisky from the Speyside region matured in a fino sherry cask, a true old school dram. It was bottled by Antique Lions of Spirits at a fine old cask strength of 46.9% ABV. (91.1 rating)
The pre-release of the 2026 relaunch of Tormore single malt whisky has already appeared, but this is an 'old' bottling, from 2016. And what an old one! 28 years old, bourbon-matured, and bottled at 50.4% cask strength by Antique Lions of Spirits.
