Duncan Taylor & Co is a whisky bottler based in Huntly, Scotland, with one of the largest private collections of rare Scottish whisky casks. The firm started in Glasgow as a broker of casks for the whisky industry. Now the company is known for its own blended whiskies, such as the famous Black Bull, and for its blended malts and single cask bottlings. In the Rarest of the Rare series, for example, you come across Banff and Glenlochy bottlings.
Duncan Taylor has released almost 4000 bottlings to date.
Released by Duncan Taylor in 2008 in the Peerless series. And this Highland Park bottling certainly is unparalleled! The Orkney single malt whisky is no less than 40 years old and can now boast a Whiskybase score of over 92 points. (40.8%)
Long ago, Royal Brackla's single malt whisky was the first malt used in the 'invention' of the blended whisky. But you can still taste Brackla whisky in its pure form. Like this 10-year-old bottling by Duncan Taylor that matured in a sherry cask. 53.8%
