Duncan Taylor & Co. is a whisky bottler based in Huntly, Scotland, with one of the largest private collections of rare Scottish whisky casks. The firm started in Glasgow as a broker of casks for the whisky industry. Now the company is known for its blended whiskies, such as the famous Black Bull, as well as its blended malts and single cask bottlings. In the Rarest of the Rare series, for example, you come across Banff and Glenlochy bottlings.
Duncan Taylor has released more than 4000 bottlings to date.
We have some fine Caperdonich bottlings and this one from Duncan Taylor from 2010 is definitely one of them! The Speyside single malt whisky, vintage year 1972, matured no less than 38 years in a bourbon cask. A classic fruit bomb bottled at 51.8%.
Long ago, Royal Brackla's single malt whisky was the first malt used in the 'invention' of the blended whisky. But you can still taste Brackla whisky in its pure form. Like this 10-year-old bottling by Duncan Taylor that matured in a sherry cask. 53.8%
