Glenkinchie The Distillers Edition 2022

Glenkinchie single malt whisky, also known as The Edinburgh Malt, is released once a year in limited edition as The Distillers Edition. This is the 2022 edition that, like previous editions, (partly) matured in Amontillado casks. Bottled at 43%.

Glenlivet 2004 Gordon & MacPhail

Gordon & MacPhail releases a 17-year-old Glenlivet single malt whisky in their Connoisseurs Choice series, matured in a bourbon cask. A sweet-fruity dram, also with notes such as white chocolate, violets and toasted oak. It is bottled at 59.4%.

Glenlivet 25-year-old - Special Jubilee Reserve

If you really want something special in your liquor cabinet, this is definitely an option: A 25 year old Glenlivet unblended all malt Scotch whisky (what we now call single malt whisky) with vintage 1952! A Special Jubilee Reserve in a 75 cl bottle. (43%)

Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve

The subtitle Carribean Reserve says it all: this The Glenlivet single malt whisky was finished in barrels in which rum was previously aged. And that gives extra notes to the well-known Speyside single malt. And that for a reasonable price. At 40%.

Glenlivet Founder's Reserve

A great whisky for a warm summer evening, this Glenlivet. Bottled at 40% this is a light, tasty Speyside with notes of vanilla, apple, banana, certainly not complex. And for a reasonable price this is also a nice entry-level whisky.

Glenlivet Guardians' Chapter

This Glenlivet bottling is the result of an election where Glenlivet fans could choose from 3 options. The single malt whisky matured in bourbon and sherry casks. The different cask influences are easily recognizable in this dram, and give it depth. 47,8%

Glenlochy 1969 Rare Malts Selection - bottle 0248

This is a real Rare Malts edition: a 25-year-old single malt whisky from the Glenlochy Distillery, which closed in 1983. Apart from the high ratings, not much is left of their whisky legacy, which is not too large. But there is this bottle! (62.2%)

Glenlossie 1997 Gordon & MacPhail - Cask 3795

It matured in a first fill sherry butt, owned by bottler Gordon & MacPhail, this 24 year old Glenlossie single malt whisky. This produced notes of, for example, fruitcake, ginger, morello cherries, black currant and toasted oak. Bottled at 57.3%.

Glenmorangie 10-year-old - The Original

This is one of the core bottlings from Glenmorangie Highland Distillery. The distillery is the pioneer of 'finishing' (maturing the whisky at the end in a different type of cask), but this single malt matured for 10 years in the same bourbon casks. (40%)

Glenmorangie 12-year-old - The Lasanta

This core bottling from Glenmorangie has been finished in PX and oloroso-sherry casks. This is reflected in notes like raisins, figs and chocolate biscuits. A beautiful, warm whisky for winter evenings, this 12-year-old Highlander. Bottled at 43%.

Glenmorangie 14-year-old - Quinta Ruban

A good example of a successful finish in port casks, this Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban single malt whisky. Light and dark fruit, chocolate, cinnamon, pepper, and even sandalwood. With even more body than the 12-year-old version. (46%)

Glenmorangie 16-year-old The Nectar

This is an excellent whisky for after a festive dinner. The 16-year-old Glenmorangie single malt matured in bourbon casks and is finished in an exquisite selection of sweet wine casks (like Sauternes, Moscatel and Tokajer), and you can taste that! (46%)

Glenmorangie Finealta

'Finealta' is Gaelic for 'elegant', and this 2010 bottling from Glenmorangie certainly is! The single malt whisky matured in Oloroso sherry casks and American oak casks. Creamy and full in the mouth with fruity, wood, vanilla and sherry notes. (46%)

Glenmorangie Sherry Wood Finish

Glenmorangie is one of the pioneers of whisky finishing. This bottle is an excellent example of this: we estimate that it was bottled sometime in the 1990s, as the label also indicates. The single malt whisky is finished in sherry casks. (43%)

Glenmorangie Spìos

Glenmorangie was one of the first distilleries to experiment with non-standard cask ageing. In 2017, they released this Spìos bottling as a Private Edition, a single malt whisky that had matured in casks that previously contained rye whisky. (46%)

Glenmorangie X

The quirky distillery Glenmorangie releaseswith this X a single malt whisky that is specially made for mixing. The X is characterized by strong, sweet notes from the bourbon and new oak casks on which it matured. For in your cocktails. Bottled at 40%.

Glenrothes 10-year-old

The youngest in the new core series of The Glenrothes. Matured in sherry casks for 10 years, but not a heavily sherried whisky. Lots of fruity and sweet notes, honey and even a hint of cheese. A good introduction to this Speyside distillery.

Glenrothes 12-year-old

If you like sweet and fruit, a little spicy, then this 12-year-old standard Glenrothes comes into the picture. Matured in sherry casks, filled at 40%, and at a reasonable price, this Speyside malt is a good choice.

Glenrothes 2006 Douglas Laing - Dutch Dram Masters

On the label you see a cheerful scene by Dutch Master Jan Steen, in the bottle you will find a 17-year-old, sherryed Glenrothes single malt whisky, bottled by Douglas Laing in the well-known Old Particular series. An edition of 644 bottles at 61.1% ABV.

Glenrothes 2007 Gordon & MacPhail

To be bottled at a strength of 62.7% after 16 years of maturing, well, as a single malt whisky, that must have been in quite a special cask. And that is what we see with this Glenrothes that matured in a refill sherry cask. Stewed fruit, morellos, almond.

Glenrothes Whisky Maker's Cut

This Glenrothes, like much of the whisky from this distillery, is a single malt for lovers of sherried whisky. It matured in casks on which was first laid sherry that was made according to the soleo process (with sun-dried grapes). Filled at 48.8%.

Glentauchers 2005 Gordon & MacPhail

Glentauchers is, except to insiders, a not so well known Speyside distillery. This Gordon & MacPhail bottling is a good and affordable option to get to know the single malt whisky. Matured for 14 years in a cask chosen by the bottler. Bottled at 43%.

Glentoshan 05-year-old

This bottling will have appeared on the (Italian) market sometime in the 1970s. An old-fashioned 'entry-level whisky', and interesting for that reason alone. It is a 5 year old Auchentoshan single malt whisky, so triple-distilled. In a 75 cl bottle, 40%.

Glenturret 15-year-old - 2023 Release

Glenturret calls itself on the label the oldest working distillery in Scotland. In any case, with the Maiden Release in 2020, Glenturret launched a new standard bottling, a 15-year-old single malt whisky. This is the 2023 edition. Bottled at 50.8%.
