Le Gus’t is a French family business, importer of, among other things, rum, gin and beer, and for some time now also an independent whisky bottler. The single cask bottlings on cask strength released so far are highly appreciated. Le Gus’t does some bottling together with Scottish bottler Signatory Vintage.
A co-production of bottlers Signatory Vintage and Le Gus’t, this 8-year-old Ardmore single malt whisky. A young, slightly smoky Highlander aged on bourbon barrel. With a strength of 60.9%, it is not really a bottle for beginners!
Bottled a while ago, but still available in our shop: a 19-year-old Arran single malt whisky. Bottled by the French bottler Le Gus't at a cask strength of 51.1%. It gets a good rating on whiskybase.com.
A young, 8-year-old, Caol Ila single malt, bottled by the French Le Gus’t in a circulation of 235 bottles. The ratings do not lie: this is a very good Caol Ila, This Islay whisky has been bottled at cask strength (a hefty 59.5%).
If after 24 years on the cask whisky only has an alcohol percentage of 45.4, this indicates an 'active' cask. And therefore an interesting flavor development in whisky. That is why we are quite curious about this single malt from the Tormore Distillery.
