Allt-a-Bhainne 1997 The Whisky Blues

The modern Allt-á-Bhainne Distillery produces malt whisky for blends such as Chivas Regal. Almost all single malt bottlings of their whisky are released by third parties. An excellent example of this is this 26-year-old, bourbon-matured edition. (50.1%)

Ben Nevis 1995 The Whisky Blues

The Taiwanese bottler The Whisky Blues already scored 90 points with a Ben Nevis bottling from 1996, now they released a Ben Nevis from 1995. The Highland single malt whisky matured in a sherry cask for 27 years and was bottled at cask strength (50.6%).

BenRiach 1997 The Whisky Blues

The Whisky Blues from Taiwan scores high with its releases. The fact that their labels are also appreciated is a bonus. This BenRiach single malt whisky fits nicely into the collection: it aged for 26 years in a bourbon cask and is bottled at a high 61.2%

Bowmore 1997 The Whisky Blues

A pretty special bottling, which the Taiwanese The Whisky Blues presents here. It is a Bowmore single malt whisky. You don't often see this as a third-party bottling. The medium-peated Islay malt aged in a sherry cask for 26 years and is bottled at 50.1%.

Burnside 1994 The Whisky Blues

There is no Burnside distillery, so what's behind that name? Well, simply, it's Balvenie single malt whisky with a teaspoon of Glenfiddich mixed in. This bourbon-aged Burnside is certainly not ordinary at 28 years old and a Whiskybase-score of 90! (47.8%)

Girvan 1996 The Whisky Blues

The Girvan grain distillery was built in 1963 in the Lowlands, mainly intended as a supplier of grain whisky for the blending industry. However, single grain bottlings such as this 27-year-old from The Whisky Blues are also regularly released. (55.1%)

The Great Northern 05-year-old The Whisky Blues

You could call the Irish The Great Northern Distillery a contract distillery. They supply various types of whisky on order (including single malt, grain, pot still). The distillery produced this single malt for The Whisky Blues. 5 years old, 58.2%.

Tormore 1992 The Whisky Blues

Behind the funny label of this bottling of The Whisky Blues, you'll find a serious single malt whisky. It is a malt from Speyside distillery Tormore that matured for no less than 30 years in a bourbon barrel. It is bottled at 45.5% cask strength.
